PETTY THEFT

Performing the great songs of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers

Petty Theft

Django Bayless - bass & vocals: Django played in Marin County club bands Sapphire, Triad, and Gahundza in the late 80's and early 90's. Django's influences include John Paul Jones, Paul McCartney, Geddy Lee, Chris Squire, Howie Epstein, Ron Blair, Frank Zappa, Yes, Led Zeppelin, Beatles and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.

Dan Durkin - lead vocals, keyboards, guitars & harp: Dan formed Marin County bands Frontline and East Of Eden. His band East Of Eden played shows with Michael McDonald, Chris Isaak, Bruce Hornsby and even drummer Pete Best of The Beatles. His left-handed/upside-down guitar playing helps keeps the band grooving and other guitarists scratching their heads wondering how the heck he does that. Dan's influences are Beatles, Rolling Stones, Motown Soul, 70's AM radio, and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.

Rory Judge - drums: Rory has performed and recorded with various bands around the San Francisco Bay Area since the late 70's. His early influences were as varied as his drum teachers, Alla Rakha (Ravi Shankar), Narada Michael Walden (Jeff Beck, John McLaughlin) and Jake Hanna (Woody Herman, Maynard Ferguson, Bing Crosby, and just about every one else).. Three of Rory's favorite drummers are Jake Hanna, Charlie Watts, and Jim Keltner.

Bob Spector - guitars & vocals: Bob has played a lot of guitar for a lot of, well, interesting bands. You may have heard of The Andy Peters Show or Varsity Drag or Zachariah or Trio Blanco (aka Glory Hole--don't ask!) or Buzzard's Luck or The Specs or The Culprits or even Sal Fortunato (but that was in Chicago...) Bob is currently playing guitar with Brittany Shane and Petty Theft in the San Francisco area, solo here and there, and bass with Queen Anne's Revenge.
